Our curriculum is designed as a complete, physiology-forward training that goes far beyond teaching breathing techniques alone. Participants move through a structured progression that includes the science of breath and the nervous system, functional breathing assessment, emotional regulation, intervention strategies for stress and addictive loops, and activation methods for performance and resilience. The training also covers facilitation skills, trauma-informed guidance, biofeedback tools, and real-world application so instructors can confidently work with individuals and groups.

 

Rather than relying on generic sessions, the curriculum teaches how to assess, tailor, and deliver breath-based protocols with measurable outcomes, giving practitioners both the scientific foundation and practical frameworks needed to create lasting physiological and behavioral change.

. Regulation is the foundation of the training. Before teaching advanced techniques or leading powerful experiences, we begin by understanding how someone breathes day to day. Through our structured breath assessment, instructors learn how to identify common breathing dysfunctions, measure patterns, and recognize how subtle inefficiencies can drive anxiety, fatigue, and stress. From there, we focus on restoring functional breathing. Participants learn why breathing less — not more — is often the key to improved oxygen delivery, nervous system balance, and mental clarity. We explore principles like the Bohr effect, heart rate variability, and physiological coherence to understand how breath influences circulation, recovery, and emotional stability. This module equips instructors with practical tools to retrain breathing patterns in a way that is safe, measurable, and sustainable. The goal is not stimulation. The goal is stability. When breathing becomes efficient and regulated, everything else becomes easier to build upon.

. Intervention is about using breath intentionally in moments that matter. In this module, instructors learn how to identify nervous system states and match specific breathing protocols to each state. Instead of applying one technique to every situation, participants learn how to regulate based on physiology. We also examine how breathing patterns shift when someone is triggered. During stress or craving, our breathing creates a chain reaction in the heart, brain, and endocrine system. By recognizing these shifts early, instructors can use targeted breath adjustments to interrupt the pattern before it escalates. This is where breath becomes a tool for breaking cycles. Whether it’s anxiety spirals, emotional reactivity, or addictive urges, intervention teaches how to disrupt automatic responses and restore agency.

. Activation focuses on using breath to intentionally increase physiological capacity. While regulation creates stability, activation trains the system to handle stress, improve performance, and expand resilience. In this module, instructors learn how to use controlled breathing protocols to enhance oxygen utilization, increase alertness, and strengthen the body’s adaptive response. We explore how strategic activation can elevate physical performance, support immune function, and help shift individuals out of low-energy or depressive states. Rather than suppressing stress, activation teaches the body to tolerate and recover from it more efficiently. This includes understanding hormesis, carbon dioxide tolerance, and how temporary stress exposure can create long-term strength.

. Facilitation is where knowledge becomes leadership. In this module, instructors learn how to guide individuals and groups through breath sessions with clarity, structure, and confidence. We cover session design, pacing, cueing, and how to create an experience that feels intentional rather than improvised. A strong emphasis is placed on trauma-informed principles. Participants learn how to recognize signs of dysregulation, maintain psychological safety, and lead in a way that respects client autonomy. The goal is not to push emotional release, but to create a container where clients feel grounded, supported, and in control of their experience.
