This is NOT a retreat, it's a right of passage.
You’ve been to retreats. You’ve done workshops. You’ve joined adventure trips that promised transformation. But within the conference rooms, spa decks, and curated tourist routes, you didn't discover anything outside the traditional teachings.
This expedition strips away the distractions and takes you to one of the most awe-inspiring, untouched places on Earth. You'll explore with guides who know how to lead you safely into both the outer extremes of the Himalayas and the inner depths of your own psyche.
It’s rugged enough to challenge you and deliberately structured to hold you. Every trek, every breathwork session, every cultural encounter is planned with precision to push you past what’s familiar and guide you into the rawest, most authentic version of yourself.

Days 1-2
Today we'll all meet at our hotel in Delhi just about 10 minutes from the airport. You'll have a chance to swim, relax, and get to know the other participants. The next morning we'll all fly up to Leh and drive 1.5 hours to the Eco Lodge at Hemisshukpachan.

Days 3-7
The next four days will be an array of adventure, mindfulness, exploration, and discovery. We'll experience deep breathwork journeys, workshops, and day trips. We will have a strict NO PHONE POLICY for the duration of our time at Togocheepa. This is intended to create a unique space where we can connect to ourselves and remember what it was like to be in nature uninterupted and without distractions.

Days 8-9
We head west to Lamayuru Monastery to catch a glimpse of the Yuru Kabgyat Festival. This incredible tradition dates back 1,200 years and includes local monks performing masked dances to ward off evil spirits.
After the festival we'll take off on foot for our first camp spot. The next two days will be spent walking through the Himalayas, practicing breathwork amidst the mountains, and spending nights near a fire under the stars.

Day 10
We'll have one more chai and bid farewell to the mountains as we all fly back down to Delhi. Our hotel is reserved through the night, so regardless of when your flight departs, you'll have a place to crash.

KEVIN CONNELLY
Kevin is an author, breathwork expert, wilderness first responder, and the founder of Reconnect Breath. Having led more than 50 groups of travelers through over a dozen Asian countries, Kevin is no stranger to the Indian Himalayas.
As a former documentary photographer and human rights activist, Kevin traversed the Asian continent, documenting various cultures, traditions, and religions. It was only after falling into depression and addiction that showed him the true path forward: connecting to yourself.
Now Kevin trains future leaders in how to use their breathing to transform their mental health, to rethink the way they view willpower and self-control, and how to use their body's natural power to heal themselves. Through Reconnect, Kevin has led thousands through breathwork and cold exposure sessions where amazing personal transformations have occurred.
Kevin holds numerous breathwork certifications and has studied with spiritual leaders and breath experts including His Emminence the 8th Chokyang Palga Rinpoche and best-selling author James Nestor.
NITA CHAKRABARTY

Nita Chakrabarty is a leadership and relationship coach, international facilitator, and founder of the SoulEmbodiment™ and Extraordinary Love™ methods. She helps high-performing leaders break free from burnout, master emotional depth, and build deeply fulfilling relationships without sacrificing drive, clarity, or success.
Often called “the feminine Indiana Jones,” Nita has spent months on solo pilgrimages through the Italian Alps, the Himalayas, Ladakh, and the highlands of Peru.
Born in South Asia and raised between Eastern tradition and Western ambition, Nita spent years in tech and executive consulting before a major health crisis forced a complete reset. Chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout revealed a truth many high performers quietly avoid: external success means nothing without inner peace, alignment, and meaningful connection.
Drawing from over twenty evidence based and traditional modalities including somatic therapy, nervous system science, subconscious reprogramming, and shamanic practice, Nita helps visionary leaders cultivate emotional mastery, embodied power, and deeply connected relationships through private coaching, immersive retreats, and transformational men’s work.

FAQ
Who should join?
Imagine being deep in the mountains at 11,500ft (3,500m) a few hours from the Tibetan border. The air is thin and it's difficult to breathe. Your eyes are fixed on the ground just in front of you. As you slowly raise your gaze, you find yourself staring at snow-covered mountain peaks. Welcome to the Indian Himalayas!
This is not a trip for the faint-hearted. While we'll do our best to create a comfortable and safe environment, but we'll constantly be pushing you out of that comfort, challenging your beliefs, and introducing new (and ancient) theories.
You're the type of person who wants to share, grow, and connect with a group of travelers who want an experience that transcends a traditional "retreat." You're not interested in being pampered. Your interest lies in your self development and your curiosity to see the world from a new perspective.
We can't guarantee it will be the trip of a lifetime. But it will be the experience of a lifetime.

Should I be aware of any health considerations?
Yes! We will be based at 11,500ft (3,500m). Altitude can do a number on your body. Please read through the list of pre-existing conditions you should be aware of:
1. Cardiovascular Conditions
-
Why It’s a Concern: Lower oxygen levels at high altitudes force the heart to work harder, which can strain an already compromised cardiovascular system.
-
Conditions of Concern:
-
High blood pressure (hypertension): Blood pressure may increase further at altitude.
-
Coronary artery disease: Reduced oxygen can trigger chest pain (angina) or even heart attacks in severe cases.
-
Heart failure: High-altitude stress can worsen fluid retention and breathing difficulties.
-
-
Precautions:
-
Get a medical evaluation, including an exercise stress test if necessary.
-
Bring all prescribed medications and adjust doses if advised by a doctor.
-
2. Respiratory Disorders
-
Why It’s a Concern: Reduced oxygen availability can worsen breathing difficulties.
-
Conditions of Concern:
-
Asthma: Cold, dry air at altitude may trigger asthma attacks.
-
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD): Lower oxygen levels can cause breathlessness and reduced physical capacity.
-
Sleep apnea: The condition may be aggravated at altitude due to reduced oxygen saturation during sleep.
-
-
Precautions:
-
Carry rescue inhalers or other respiratory aids.
-
Use supplemental oxygen if recommended.
-
Monitor symptoms closely and descend if breathing worsens
-
3. Diabetes
-
Why It’s a Concern: Altitude can affect blood sugar levels, increasing the risk of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. Additionally, dehydration is more common at altitude, which can further impact glucose regulation.
-
Precautions:
-
Monitor blood sugar levels more frequently.
-
Adjust insulin or medication as needed, with guidance from a doctor.
-
Stay hydrated and carry quick sources of glucose for emergencies.
-
4. Neurological Disorders
-
Why It’s a Concern: Conditions like epilepsy or migraines can be worsened by altitude-related stress or hypoxia.
-
Precautions:
-
Ensure regular medication is on hand.
-
Avoid triggers such as dehydration or overexertion.
-
Monitor for any changes in neurological symptoms.
